
Matt Littell
Co-Founder
Matt began his career at GE, where he completed the Operations Management Leadership Program, earned his Lean Six Sigma black belt, and owned a P&L, then set out to buy and run a company of his own, acquiring and operating Progressive Bronze, a Chicago metal manufacturer. He and Cat then ran a self-funded search and went on to co-lead Halstatt Search Partners before co-founding Legacy 41. Matt serves on the boards of the firm’s portfolio companies and teaches Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, where he co-leads the Zell Fellows ETA track. He holds an MBA from Kellogg, a Master’s in Engineering Management from Northwestern, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida.

Cat Littell

Cat began her career in operating roles at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Redbox, and was a steady partner through Matt’s years acquiring and operating Progressive Bronze. Together they went on to run a self-funded search before co-leading Halstatt Search Partners and co-founding Legacy 41. Cat serves on the boards of the firm’s portfolio companies, working directly with the CEOs who run them, and she teaches Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She holds an MBA from Booth and a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
